I was taught in college that learning was not the best through filling out a paper which I believe is true. In student teaching I had a teacher I was under That used the old Learning sheets in which the pictures were not even recognizable and the only thing that I felt was helpful to the children was the parents came in and corrected them.
The only thing that made the class less boring to them was the fact she had a trade system set up with the other two classes for the children to learn their sounds. It broke their monotony enough. I worked with the children and knew the confusion they went through to do those papers.
I was taught in college that children learn better by active learning in which they were involved in things. I have read so many articles to state that this is true. It is called hands on learning. If they get to look for something or make something the learning becomes interesting to them. That is why I feel my Home Education Program is so much better that many of them a parent puts out a lot of money to just learn remote information as math. I have learned ways of making each math problem and other learning fun.
