Day 169

This Day should finish the Bible! Grandma is still going strong.

The next Book in the Bible is James and here is the Introduction:

"Whom...did God inspire to write this book? James, the brother of Jesus(and a son of Mary and Joseph), wrote this book.

To Whom...was this letter first written? This book was written to Christians everywhere, especially for those who are suffering.

When...was this letter written? James was probably written about AD 48. It may have been the first New Testament book written.

How...does James show us God's love? James writes for people who have been deeply touched by God's love. The Christian loves because Christ has loved him or her. Christ's love is shown, then, by our loving actions. The book of James may be very meaningful for people who have begun to take God's love for granted.

What...special messages does this book give us? James teaches Christians to see their sufferings and sacrifices as reminders of Christ's sacrifice on the cross.
...are some important teachings in this book?
God uses testing to strengthen our faith.                          James 1:2-18
Faith in Jesus leads us to do what God says.                   James 1:22-25
Faith in Jesus leads us to be equally kind to all.               James 2:1-13
Faith in Jesus is lived out in good deeds.                          James 2:14-26
Faith in Jesus compels us to speak kind words.                James 3:1-12
Faith in Jesus enables us to resist the devil.                      James 4:7
Faith in Jesus gives us patience when we suffer.                James 5:7-11
Faith in Jesus gives us confidence to pray to him.              James 5:13-16"

Now we will see what Faith Alive has to say about it:

Words to RememberJames 1:13, God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

Let's Live It!James 1:16-18 Not a Shifting Shadow--It's 100 degrees; there's not a cloud in the sky. So Dad is careful to park the car in the shade while you enjoy your picnic. Three hours later you come back--to a car that's 120 degrees inside! What happened? The shadow moved!
Read James 1:16-18. James says God isn't like a shifting shadow. He doesn't change. You can always count on him. Sometimes tough things happen. That doesn't mean God has moved on and left us. Everything God gives us is good and perfect. All the time. Even when he lets tough things, testing, happen.

Words to RememberJames 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above.

Life In Bible Times- Rich People--Rich people were well-dressed and wore gold jewelry. Everyone could tell a rich person from a poor one. Christians were told to welcome the poor as well as the rich.

Did You Know?James 2:14 What is faith? Faith is not just knowing about God. Faith is trusting in him and being confident of his promises. When we trust that Jesus saves us, we show our faith by doing what God wants.

Words to RememberJames 4:7 Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Let's Live It!James 2:18 Making the Invisible Visible--Faith is invisible. It's in the heart. Faith in Jesus is all you need for eternal life, and God knows you have it. but he's the only one who can see it.
Now there is a way we make our invisible faith visible. We show our faith by what we do. We can show we believe in Jesus when we care for people in need, say kind things, are humble, considerate, content.
Take a cotton swab and some milk or lemon juice. Use them like pen and ink to write James 2:18 on a piece of paper. When it dries, it will be invisible. Then ask your mom or dad to watch you hold it over a candle, and see what happens. Read the words, and make your faith visible."

Next is 1 Peter to read and do the exercises in Faith Alive starting with the Introduction:

"Whom...did God inspire to write this book? Peter, a disciple of Jesus, wrote this book. He also wrote 2 Peter.

To Whom...was this letter first written? Peter wrote this letter to Christians everywhere.

When...was this letter written? Peter wrote this letter about AD 64. He says he sends greetings from Babylon, but that is probably a symbolic way of saying he is writing from Rome.

How...does 1 Peter show us God's love? The book of 1 Peter shows God's deep concern for his children who are suffering. God understands the pain we go through, because his own Son bore our sins in his body on the cross. He was wounded so that now we are healed. God speaks kindly to us in 1 Peter, assuring us that sufferings are only for a little while and afterward we will receive an inheritance in heaven that will never fade away. Even the sufferings themselves, Peter says, are only to strengthen our faith.

What...special messages does this book give us? This book encourages Christians who are suffering to live holy lives by reminding them of the eternal inheritance they have in Christ. Christ purchased us, not with silver or gold, but with his precious blood. As a result, we are holy people, God's royal priesthood.
...are some important teachings in this book?
Faith is precious.                                                              1 Peter 1:3-9
Redeemed not with silver or gold, but with Christ's blood.      1 Peter 1:18-19
God chose us.                                                                  1 Peter 2:9-10
Love as brothers.                                                               1 Peter 3:8-12
Suffering as Christians.                                                       1 Peter 4:12-19
Be humble.                                                                        1 Peter 5:6-11"

Now follow the exercises from 1 Peter in Faith Alive starting with "Did You Know?1 Peter 1:3 What is the Christians' hope? The Christians' hope is that we will someday be with Jesus in heaven. Christians are God's special treasures. And God has treasure for us in heaven. This is why Peter starts his letter with praise for God.

Words to Remember1 Peter 1:18-19 It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed...but with the precious blood of Christ.

Words to Remember1 Peter 2:9 You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation.

Did You Know?1 Peter 2:13 What does submit mean? To submit means to do what is right by obeying a person in charge. Christians are supposed to obey their country's laws. Employees are to work hard for the person who hired them. Children are to submit to parents and teachers. 1 Peter 2 and 3 are about submission.

Let's Live It!1 Peter 3:18-21
Dunking the Beach Ball--You've got a beach ball in the pool. You dunk it under the water. What happens? Shuuuuump! It bobs to the top. Can't keep it down, can you?
Read 1 Peter 3:18-21. At Baptism, we were saved, our sins were washed away. (Get it? Washed.) Problem is, that sinful nature keeps bobbing back up. We keep sinning. You know what's so great about Baptism? When we remember that we are baptized, we are reminded that in Jesus our sins are washed away and we are saved! Remembering our Baptism at least once a day is a good habit to form.

Words to Remember1 Peter 3:21 This water symbolizes baptism that now saves you. ... It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Words to Remember1 Peter 4:8 Love covers over a multitude of sins.

Words to Remember1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Words to Remember1 Peter 5:8-9 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings."

The next book of the Bible is 2 Peter as the Introduction follows:

How...does 2 Peter show us God's love? In 2 Peter, God shows his concern for people who will be attacked by false teachings. God does not want us to be led astray and lose hold of his promises. To protect us against false teachings, he reassures us that the word we have in Scripture is his own Word. Even more important, he confirms that Jesus is his true son. We can certainly count on Jesus to be our savior.

Whom...did God inspire to write this book? Peter, a disciple of Jesus, wrote this book, as well as 1 Peter.

To Whom...was this letter first written? This book is a letter Peter sent to Christians everywhere.

When...was this letter written? This book was written about AD 67.

What...special messages does this book give us? The book of 2 Peter directs Christians to the truth of Christ and warns them against false teachers. It has the very clear teaching that the Bible is truly God's Word because "men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1:21). This book also has detailed information about the end of the world.
...are some important teachings in this book?
The Bible is God's sure Word.                                      2 Peter 1:16-21
What false teachers are like.                                        2 Peter 2:1-22
How the world will end.                                                2 Peter 3:1-13"

Now we will cover 2 Peter in Faith Alive as follows:
Words to Remember2 Peter 1:21 Prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Did You Know?2 Peter 1:21 Why do we trust the Bible? We trust the Bible because we know that God spoke through the people who wrote it. Nothing in the Bible is invented. It is all true.

Did You Know?2 Peter 2:1 What is a false teacher? A false teacher is a person who teaches what is not true instead of what the Bible says. Peter uses strong language here to describe what he thinks of false teachers and what will happen to them in the end.

Did You Know?2 Peter 3:12 How will the world end? After Jesus comes back, this universe will be burned up. Then God will create a new heaven and earth to be home for the people who followed and loved Jesus.

Let's Live It!2 Peter 3:10-13 What will Happen to Our Earth?--Read 2 Peter 3:10-13. Draw a picture showing what will happen to our earth when Jesus comes again (2 Peter 3:12).
The Bible says that God will then create a new heaven and earth. On the back of the first picture, draw a picture of what you think the new earth might look like (2 Peter 3:13).
God's people, who live holy and godly lives, will enjoy his new heaven and earth. If you are one of God's children, draw yourself on your picture of the new earth.

Words to Remember2 Peter 3:8-9 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends. With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Words to Remember2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare."

Next is 1 John and here is the Introduction:

"Whom...did God inspire to write this book? John, a disciple of Jesus, wrote this book. This is the first of his three epistles. He also wrote the Gospel of John and Revelation.

To Whom...was this letter first written? This book is a letter John sent to Christians everywhere.

How...does 1 John show us God's love? The book of 1 John tells us of God's love in the most explicit terms: "God is love" (1 John 4:8,16). It also explains what this love is: "Not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins" (1 John 4:10). The wonderful result is that "we love because he first loved us" (1 John 4:19).

When...was this letter written? John probably wrote this book about AD 90.

What...special messages does this book give us? This book motivates Christians to love God and each other by reminding them how richly God has loved them first.
...are some important teachings in this book?
Christ came in the flesh.                                          1 John 1:1-4
Christ has forgiven the sins of the whole world.           1 John 2:2
God's children love others.                                        1 John 2:7-11
God's children are what we are!                                 1 John 3:1-3
Jesus shows us what love is.                                     1 John 3:16-20
Love comes from God.                                              1 John 4:7-11
God gives us eternal life.                                            1 John 5:10-12"

Next we will  cover things in Faith Alive
"Words to Remember 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Did You Know?1 John 2:2 Whose sins have been forgiven? All sins have been forgiven--the sins of everyone in the world! Jesus is the sacrifice that paid for every sin ever committed. Even those who never believe have been forgiven. Of course, to receive forgiveness, one must believe.

Did You Know?1 John 2:18 What is an Antichrist? An Antichrist is a person who is against Christ. A person who is against Christ does not believe that Jesus really is God. This kind of person does not know God.

Did You Know?1 John 3:1 How do we know that we are children of God? God tells us so! "That is what we are!: (1 John 3:1) Everyone who believes in Jesus is a child of God.

Let's Live It!1 John 3:16-20
Love and Actions--Read 1 John 3:16-20. How do we know God loves us? How do we as Christians show the love of God in us?
Play a game of the dinner table. The first person says, "God's love is..." and then describes a way to show love by an action. For instance, "Our love is helping with the dishes." Or, "Our love is praying with you at night."
Take turns, alternating "God's love is"with "Our love is." Count the number of "love is" actions your family can name.

Words to Remember 1 John 4:8, 19 God is love. ... We love because he first loved us.

Did You Know?1 John 4:16 What is love? God is love. Love is Jesus dying for us. Love is helping others. Because God loves us, we show love to others.

Words to Remember1 John 5:3 This is love for God: to obey his commands.

Words to Remember1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."

Next is 2 John starting with the following Introduction:

"Whom...did God inspire to write this book? John, a disciple of Jesus, wrote this book, the second of his three epistles.

To Whom...was this letter first written? This book is a letter John sent to Christians everywhere.

When...was this letter written? John probably wrote this book about AD 90.

How...does 2 John show us God's love? In 2 John, God reminds us that everyone who continues in the teaching of Christ (in other words, everyone who believes in Jesus) has the Father and the Son with him or her.

What...special messages does this book give us? The book of 2 John calls on Christians to love as a result of the one pure motivation--Jesus Christ.
...are some important teachings in this book?
Continue in Christ,                                                        2 John 9
Do not welcome false teachings.                                    2 John 10-11"

There is only one exercise for 2 John in Faith Alive as follows:

"Words to Remember2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. ...his command is that you walk in love."

Next is 3 John with the following Introduction:

"Whom...did God inspire to write this book? John, a disciple of Jesus, wrote this book, the third of his three epistles.

To Whom...was this letter first written? This book is a letter John sent to Christians everywhere.

When ...was this letter written? John probably wrote this book about AD 90.

How...does 3 John show us God's love? In 3 John, God's love is reflected in the love of John for a friend and in John's eagerness to tell everyone about Jesus.

What...special messages does this book give us? The book of 3 John encourages Christians to follow the example of those who share God's love with others.
...are some important teachings in this book?
Support of missionaries.                                             3 John 8
Refusal to support missionaries.                                  3 John 9-10"

There is only one exercise for 3 John in Faith Alive also as follows:
"Let's Live It!3 John 2-4 Great Joy--Read 3 John 2-4. Ask your mother or dad to explain why John says, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth" (3 John 4).
It made John glad that his friends were following Jesus and living for him. How do you think you could make your parents glad?"

The last Book in the Bible before Revelation is Jude with the Introduction as follows:

"Whom...did God inspire to write this book? Jude, a brother of Jesus (and a son of Mary and Joseph), wrote this book.

To Whom...was this letter first written? This book is a letter sent to Christians everywhere.

When...was this letter written? Jude was probably written sometime between AD 65 and 80.

How...does Jude show us God's love? As in 2 Peter, God shows his concern that Christians not be misled by false teachers. He warns against them. But then he also promises that he is able to keep us from falling into deception and to keep us in faith in Jesus until he takes us to heaven.

What...special messages does this book give us? Jude warns Christians not to let false teachers distort the message of salvation in Jesus Christ. We are to contend for (work hard to protect) the true faith.
...are some important teachings in this book?
Christians must struggle to Hold to God's
  pure teachings.                                                       Jude 3-4
False teachers will be condemned.                             Jude 5-16
Christians are to watch out
     for each other.                                                      Jude 22-23"

Again with one teaching in Faith Alive of Jude through "Words to RememberJude 1:3 Contend for the faith."

The last book of the Bible, Revelation will have to be done on the next day. I am sorry!

Home education is the best education for us. our primary education has been started from our family. when we are growing up than we are admitted by other institution or hire a trainer to train us. but only trainer is not sufficient to achieve our goal. we should dedicate.

The primary need ought to enhance the security framework and it is the main request of the general population. Bunches of individuals feel now shaky in light of the fact that a few people attempt to take things of the general population.
